Listen up guys! Because this is one of my new favorite recipes. It really is a MUST MAKE before summer’s over. We (and by we I mean Kara) made these a few weeks ago for my Mom to bring to a friend’s house in Lake Geneva. I was anticipating a winner because of the berry-lemon combo and I was right!!
Do you ever have one of those days(weeks?), when you just CANNOT make 1 more dinner? Maybe you had to work late, maybe it is 100 degrees outside and you cannot bear the thought of cooking. Maybe you’ve been cooking recipes for your blog all weekend and you just cannot handle one more thing. Some nights I can’t even find the motivation to make Kraft Macaroni and Cheese! No matter how hot, tired, or aggravated I am though, I can always make a cheese platter.
This Pistachio Cake is old school. It’s been a family favorite for as long as I can remember and since it’s my Dad’s favorite we make it at least once every year on his birthday. The whole family likes it and our family friends too; it’s a tried and true recipe we make regularly for get-togethers.
I have a confession to make. I love mall food. No trip to the mall is complete without at least 1 pair of shoes, a new purse, orange chicken from Panda Express, Mrs. Field’s cookies, a strawberry frappuccino from Starbuck’s and a soft pretzel from Auntie Anne’s. After all that food I’ll also have to pick up a new wardrobe because all of the clothes I own will be about 4 sizes too small. But those soft pretzels are worth every calorie. My favorite soft pretzel is the cinnamon/sugar one. So good. And now I don’t even need to go to the mall to get my pretzel fix. This could be a dangerous situation.
I have to admit I was leery of trying these breakfast burritos. I’m extremely picky about eggs. I prefer eggs when they’re baked into cupcakes, cheesecakes, cookies, etc. But sometimes I have to think past the sweets and look to the savory. Today is one of those times.
