Lately we’ve been falling behind on our blog. Because all 3 of us work full time we only have weekends to work on new recipes. With Italy and the holidays, and now New Years Eve/Day our weekends have been busy! I’m sure there are lots of other bloggers who can relate. It’s important for us to chose recipes that are quick, easy and that WE KNOW will taste good. No time to waste on recipes that won’t be worth posting.
A co-worker brought these Creme de Menthe Brownies into work about a month or so ago. On my way in I walked through the kitchen and saw them. Naturally I grabbed one! This was at approximately 7:45 am. Immediately after I ate it I went back for another. 2 brownies before 8:00 am…must be some kind of a record. Luckily the temptation wasn’t there long because everybody else liked them just as much as I did and they vanished before noon.
New Years Eve is almost here! Are you guys staying in or going to a wild and crazy party? Cliff and I are going to a dinner party at the home of our friends. Growing up my Mom always made us a fancy dinner for New Year’s. We usually had filet and crab legs and of course pasta. Having a nice dinner with friends and family is my preferred way of celebrating the start of the New Year!
Did everyone have a wonderful Christmas this year? Are you ready for New Years and 2012? We all had an excellent Christmas, and got lots of nice gifts. One of my favorites was a new 9 cup Cuisinart food processor, exactly like the one I got my Mom last year! I see lots of pesto in our future! I ate so much food this past weekend I may never have to eat again! There was clams, coconut shrimp, prime rib, lasagna, and homemade creme puffs (recipe coming soon). Everything was delicious. I definitely had to hit the gym today!
Thanks to Kara’s Sorrento–Capri–Amalfi Coast Guidebook we had all the details on the best sights to be seen right at our fingertips. Because the weather was so beautiful during the days we decided to go on an adventure and try to walk to Pantano. The guide book tells you the level of difficulty and I’m pretty sure it said this one was easy. Well not for us!
