Creamed Spinach

Creamed Spinach recipe picturesMy personal opinion: spinach is one of those veggies that is best when doused in cream, mixed with sour cream and slathered on Hawaiian bread, masked by fruits in a smoothie, or drenched with salad dressing. I actually enjoy most vegetables, but spinach needs a little bit of help. If you have a spinach recipe that can prove me wrong I’d love to hear it because I wish I could enjoy spinach in its pure, unmodified form.

Seared Scallops

Seared Scallops recipe picturesCliff and I moved this weekend and let me tell you, it was exhausting. The great thing about moving is it is a perfect opportunity to purge all of the junk that has been sitting around the house untouched for years. On the other hand, it just plain old sucks. Fortunately for me, my wonderful husband did about 95% of the work. All I had to do was put everything in boxes and mark them. By the end I was labeling the majority of the boxes “stuff” and throwing all of our clothes in garbage bags. We are very classy! There were about 10 times this past weekend where all I wanted to do was curl up in my bed with a big bowl of mac n’ cheese. I really needed some comfort food to get me through it!

Twice Baked Potatoes

Twice Baked Potatoes recipe picturesValentine’s day is coming up soon so we are trying to come up with some recipes you can make at home instead of going out to an expensive steakhouse. Really nice places tend to be quite expensive. And often times the menu is a la carte. Not to mention that they tend to be packed on Valentine’s day and the service may not be the best. 2 entrees, a couple sides, dessert and a bottle of wine will cost you close to $200. Why not make a nice steak dinner at home instead?

Lasagna Rolls
