First of all, how is it almost the 4th of July already? How can that be? Plus, can we just talk about how awful it is for the 4th to be on a Wednesday this year? I just couldn’t deal with that so I took the 3rd of July off too! I am looking forward to a quick mid-week break with some pool time and grilling.
We first saw this recipe over a year ago, but for some reason or other we didn’t get around to trying it. But we didn’t forget and finally we decided that Father’s Day would be the perfect time to try out a new recipe and grill these Chicken Skewers.
Today, I have a story for you about a girl. I won’t say who the girl is. Let’s just say this girl suffers from food anxiety. This girl worries that people are trying to trick her into eating onions. This girl likes to know exactly what is in the food she is eating. This girl fears that someone will tell her she is eating steak to later find out it was cow tongue. This girl’s worst nightmare is going to a chef’s choice dinner. These are the thoughts that keep her up at night.
I mentioned recently that we made ‘our version’ of Cannoli. And here it is! Rather than going to the hassle of making the shells, forming them into tube shapes, and carefully filling them…we made a dip! Afterall, we are dip people. And let’s get real…how fun is this?
