Pizza Sauce
Yesterday Kelly shared our recipe for calzones, today I pizza sauce for you. I have to admit I have just recently started to make my own pizza sauce. I would die before I’d use a jar of “spaghetti sauce” so I don’t know why I thought it was ok to use jarred pizza sauce. There is really no justification, no excuses for not making my own sauce. It is as easy as can be. No more jarred or canned pizza sauce for me!

French Onion Dip Stuffed Mushrooms
One of my most favorite guilty pleasures in the whole world is pan fried onion dip. I just love it!! I don’t allow myself to make it more that 2 times per year. It is too dangerous! For me a perfect Sunday afternoon is watching the Bears game and eating pan fried onion dip on the couch with my husband. I of course will be wearing an oversized t-shirt and stretchy pants. Doesn’t hurt when the Bears win either!!

How To: Raised Garden Bed Series
As I have mentioned over and over again, Cliff and I just recently moved into a new house. We previously lived in a small townhouse with no backyard and a small balcony. As soon as we moved we decided that we NEEDED to plant a garden. We decided the way to go was to build a raised garden bed. I plan to do a series this spring/summer on the progress of our garden. It might be a huge success, it might be a huge failure. We will see. We aren’t farmers after all!

Sauteed Asparagus and Peas
Sometimes I tend to over complicate things. For example, instead of eating plain mushrooms I sometimes fry them and dip them in ranch. There is nothing wrong with fried mushrooms. In fact, I love fried mushrooms! However, I often forget that food prepared simply can be just as enjoyable. That is the case with this recipe. Not complicated, no fancy ingredients, but the taste is fresh and delicious.

Roasted Garlic Artichoke Dip
My love affair with artichokes continues with this roasted garlic and artichoke dip. Last week Cliff asked me what recipes I was planning to make for the blog. One of the recipes I mentioned was artichoke dip. He said, haven’t we done that already? Of course, we had made spinach artichoke dip before, but this dip has no spinach, and it has roasted garlic AND a panko crust. Completely different!!! And besides, can you ever have too many cheesy, artichokey dips? I think not.
