I feel like certain ingredients get really popular on food blogs. For awhile everything was Nutella. Which is great, because I love Nutella. Then everything was salted caramel. Again, love it. Then it was Biscoff. No complaints here. Is it still Biscoff? Is there some new “hot” ingredient that I don’t even know about yet? Even though certain ingredients get super popular I find myself never tiring of Nutella. 10 years from now will there still be a Biscoff craze? I don’t know, but what I do know is that I will always have a big jar of Nutella in my pantry. Me and Nutella are like 2 peas in a pod. Best friends forever. We are in looooooveeeee. Big time.
Cinnamon Raisin French Toast with Sautéed Bananas & Baileys Whipped Cream
That title is a mouthful, I know. There’s so much good stuff here, we had to cram it all in the title.
Strawberries and Cream Biscuits
Can I tell you a secret? I’ve never had biscuits and gravy. Never! Can I tell you another secret? I don’t think I ever will. Ever! Biscuits were not something I grew up eating (and certainly not biscuits and gravy) and they have never been a food I’ve craved. Unless of course they come in a tube, are quartered, doused in butter, sugar and cinnamon and baked into luscious monkey bread. THEN and only then do I like biscuits. Or so I thought.
Monkey Bread Cupcakes with Pomegranate Seeds
A learned a few things this weekend. Mostly having to do with pomegranates. First, I learned how to open and remove the seeds from a pomegranate. Second, I learned that you only eat the seeds of a pomegranate. Who knew? Thirdly, and most importantly, i learned that I really like pomegranate seeds. I received my Food Network magazine recently and there was an article on how to open a pomegranate. First, you hit it pretty hard with a wooden spoon. Then cut it in half then hit it again and many of the seeds will fall out. I’d never attempted to open a pomegranate but this method worked pretty well.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Scones

Did you guys all have an amazing Thanksgiving? Did you stuff yourself with turkey or was it the mashed potatoes that got you? And what kind of Jell-O did you have? I am still on vacation. I typed this up before we left so I sure hope I am having a good time.
